Corporate Citizenship

The Label Printers’ core values of community, responsibility, and resourcefulness reinforce beliefs and inclinations that exist individually within the members of the team. Among the many faces in the company, you will find coaches, tutors, community leaders, volunteers, board members and contributors. Just as the people who make up the company are active in our own communities, the company supports programs in local communities and encourages team members to engage within our business community as well.

Local Child and Family Support Organizations

The Label Printers employees select the organizations, choose the fundraising ideas, volunteer to work the events and recruit coworkers to participate. Fundraisers have included raffles, bake sales, and auctions, all of the proceeds of which have provided funding to purchase Christmas gifts for needy children and support the programs of Mooseheart Child City in nearby Batavia, Illinois. In addition, employees have organized food drives to support both the Marie Wilkinson and Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantries.

Employees decide what kind of fundraising programs to have and then participate in them in a variety of ways – from eating at restaurants that offer programs such as Chili’s Give Back, to homemade desserts sold at break times, to donating prizes for raffles and a silent auction.

In addition, the company has partnered with national chains Chipotle and Jimmy John’s, and local, family-owned Harner’s Bakery and Restaurant for a program employees dubbed Meals for Mooseheart. Each of these restaurants donated food for lunch or morning break time and employees purchased the donated meals.

Educational Support Programs

Take Stock for Education

We support area school teachers with Take Stock for Education open houses, a program created by our Sustainability Team. Rather than discarding or recycling items that are unusable to us, we invite teachers to the plant to choose from a variety of materials that they can repurpose for their classrooms. This program gives us the opportunity to advance our sustainability goals, as well as support local teachers with items that might otherwise paid for out of their own pockets.

FIRST Robotics

We have also sponsored and mentored a FIRST Robotics team – a program founded to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology.
